Mayfair of McLean Homeowners –

The Hardscape Committee met on Saturday, May 11. Scott Sirlin, John Mockoviak, Bethany Jones, and Bill

Wilhoyte were in attendance. We are pleased to welcome Jeff Levin who has agreed to serve as a member of

the Hardscape Committee.

Those attending the meeting received information about the following agenda items, which were discussed, and

follow-up actions, which were identified:

Sprinkler System

The system was tested in early spring and found to be in good working order. Four sprinkler heads were

replaced, and several sprinkler heads were repositioned to provide maximum water benefit to trees, shrubs, and

flowers.

Drainage

Work on drainage issues adjacent to Westmoreland Road was completed and appears to be functioning

satisfactorily. Additionally, drainage work on MM property adjacent to Autumn Chase (the community on Kirby

east of Mayfair of McLean) was completed and is also working properly.

Questions remain about the drainage connection with Pimmit Run in front of residence 2001. Board President

John Mockoviak is exploring further information on this matter with various Fairfax agencies.

Streetlamp Conversion to LED Lights

Previously, homeowners were informed that the streetlamp bulbs we are currently using would not be available

after December 2018. At that time, we were able to purchase enough bulbs to carry us through until the

streetlamps could be converted to LED bulbs. That work is scheduled to start either later this week or next week.

You will be receiving more information about this in a few days.

Sidewalk Bricks

A small number of sidewalks have uneven surfaces due to tree roots and shifting ground and pushing the bricks

up. Bids are being secured to address these situations, and we are hopeful that work will be completed within

the next couple of weeks.

Fencing

The wooden fence between MM and Autumn Chase needs minor repairs. The fence is leaning in several places

due to tree roots that have surfaced. Bids are also being secured to make necessary repairs, and homeowners

will be notified when this work had been scheduled.

Community Walkabout

The walkabout confirmed the need for sidewalk and fence repairs.

Respectfully Submitted -
